As a Senior Care Assistant you will support the running of the shift and show warmth and support to our residents and their families; helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care.
What we are looking for:
- A minimum of NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Experience of working in a health and social care setting
- Senior care/team leading experience
- Care Certificate or equivalent training covering care induction as defined by Skills for Care
- Hardworking and motivated by delivering great service
- Effective team player with a positive attitude
- Desire and passion to help make a difference
- An understanding of what is important to others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Summary
The job sits within Care, which provides older people with high quality nursing and residential care throughout
the country. Homes offer a wide range of high quality care options including respite, palliative and specialist
dementia care.
The job holder will ensure that they fully understand and fulfil their responsibilities in respect of both health &
safety and equality & diversity at all times

Key Accountabilities (All Accountabilities will be carried out in line with policies, procedures and relevant regulations and legislation
- Ensure a quality personal care service for residents is provided in line with policies and procedures and as prescribed by a registered nurse / healthcare professional
- Provide support residents to maximise their level of independence and achieve their potential whilst promoting choice and maintaining residents dignity and independence.
- Ensure that care plans are tailored to individual needs with the involvement of the resident in order that the appropriate level of support is provided for all aspects of daily living.
- Carry out effective care and support, including the administration of medications and clinical procedures to meet residents personal care needs in line with the relevant health and safety requirements and carrying out relevant risk assessments.
- Respond positively to residents concerns and complaints, escalating as necessary
- Supervise staff to ensure that care is provided within the relevant guidelines and according to individual care plans.
- Contribute, as appropriate, to special projects and change programmes in support of the Group’s objectives

Applicants who are applying under the Skilled Worker Sponsorship must meet the following:
• Have a A valid international passport
• English test - IELTS /UKVI (pass mark 4.5 in all modules
• A valid Police Clearance Certificate.
• A valid Tuberculosis Certificate.
• Certificates of qualifications at O level (or equivalent) or above
• Caregiver qualification (from Red Cross preferably) Florence Academy / Atlas Training / Online Care Certificate Qualification
• Proof of proficiency in English in the form of an English IELTS (4.5 passes)/ If your BSC Degree is taught in the English language, the university can issue a "Proof of proficiency in English certificate or letter, which can be converted via "https://www.ecctis.com"
• A minimum of 6 months of work experience in Caregiving
• Three Job and/or education references.
