This job sits within one of our client which helps people to live independently by providing high quality, registered and non registered specialist support and housing services. 

The job holder will ensure that they fully understand and fulfil their responsibilities in respect of both Health & Safety and Equality & Diversity at all times.

This profile is not an exhaustive list of duties and other activities may need to be carried out requiring similar skill levels.

Main duties of the job

You will need:

  • A commitment to delivering high quality care.
  • Excellent decision making, communication and organisational skills
  • Qualities including dedication, focus and compassion.
  • Previous healthcare experience is preferable but not essential
  • Specific experience of eating disorders or work with children would be an advantage, however full training, a comprehensive induction, and on the job supervision is given

Key Accountabilities (All Accountabilities will be carried out in line with policies, procedures and relevant regulations and legislation)

  • Provide high quality person centred care and support services in line with client and organisational needs
  • Contribute to the assessment of clients' needs, providing input into the creation, development and review of care plans under supervision involving other service providers as required and ensuring the involvement of clients in planning and evaluating their own care.
  • Deliver care and support for clients as required to ensure clients’ personal hygiene, dietary needs and medication needs are met whilst ensuring their privacy, dignity and independence is maintained and positively respected at all times and in accordance with agreed care plans.
  • Assist and encourage service users to access and maintain a level of integration into the wider community by supporting regular social and leisure activities and opportunities.
  • Provide support as identified within the care plan to manage complex needs, challenging behaviour and degenerative conditions.
  • Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, through accurate and timely reporting.
  • Provide advocacy to support clients and their families when required, to maximise clients independence and personal potential
  • Promote safe practices and undertake risk assessments within legislative frameworks and business protocols,escalating issues as appropriate and following safeguarding procedures.
  • Contribute, as appropriate, to special projects and change programmes in support of the Group's objectives

Applicants who are applying under the Skilled Worker Sponsorship must meet the following:
 •    Have a A valid international passport
•    English test - IELTS /UKVI (pass mark 4.5 in all modules
•    A valid Police Clearance Certificate.
•    A valid Tuberculosis Certificate.
•    Certificates of qualifications at O level (or equivalent) or above
•    Caregiver qualification (from Red Cross preferably) Florence Academy / Atlas Training / Online Care Certificate Qualification
•    Proof of proficiency in English in the form of an English IELTS (4.5 passes)/ If your BSC Degree is taught in the English language, the university can issue a "Proof of proficiency in English certificate or letter, which can be converted via "https://www.ecctis.com"
•    A minimum of 6 months of work experience in Caregiving
•    Three Job and/or education references.
